Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, three brothers renowned as luxury real estate moguls in Miami and New York City, are currently facing serious accusations of raping or sexually assaulting at least 60 victims, including a minor. The alleged incidents date back to 2009, with federal prosecutors claiming the brothers worked in concert to drug, sexually assault, and rape dozens of victims between 2009 and 2021, purportedly promising luxury experiences in exchange for sex. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges and have denied any wrongdoing.

The Defense Ensemble

Their legal team, attorneys Edward O’Donnell and Joel Denaro, strongly assert that the claims made by the accusers, their personal injury lawyers, and prosecutors may be fabricated. O’Donnell highlighted the striking coincidence that for 10 to 15 years, no accusations were made, yet suddenly, within the same timeframe, every single accuser came forward through personal injury lawsuits seeking financial compensation. He questioned the mathematical possibility of all women coming forward simultaneously, noting that none initially went to law enforcement, only to personal injury lawyers, which then led to law enforcement involvement. The defense also states there is “zero physical evidence” or “zero evidence whatsoever” to substantiate the assaults, pointing out that victims allegedly did not go to the hospital for rape kits.

An Air of Doubt

Further supporting their claims of opportunistic motives, O’Donnell cited a December 2024 email from an alleged victim to a prosecutor, inquiring about recommendations for lawyers working on the Alexander brothers' case because she wished to sue them. The email showed the prosecutor responded with names and emails of attorneys pursuing civil cases against the brothers. However, a representative for the District Attorney’s office clarified that this was a response to a direct question, not a referral.

In a separate development, Oren and Alon Alexander's legal team filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit in New York, presenting what they described as flirty messages and nude pictures sent by the woman after she claimed to be attacked.

The Brother’s Alleged Modus Operandi

Conversely, those representing the alleged victims offer explanations for the delayed reporting and defend their pursuit of civil remedies. Many alleged victims cited fear, shame, and the belief that they would not be believed, given the brothers' status and wealth in society. Lindsey Acree, for instance, initially sought to file a lawsuit anonymously. Carissa Peebles, an attorney for one woman, noted her client’s “lot of fear” about coming forward. Miami Herald reporter Ana Claudia Chacin, who has interviewed several alleged victims, observed that their stories are “eerily similar,” often involving women being drugged or consuming excessive alcohol to the point of incapacitation and inability to consent.

Maria Suska, one of Oren’s accusers, shared her account of an alleged assault in 2014 at the Versace mansion. She described being invited by Oren, only to find ten other girls and two promoters at dinner. She recounted going upstairs with Oren to a watchtower, where she claims he attacked her. Suska admitted to not filing a police report at the time due to fear and self-blame, but eventually filed one last December. She expressed shock upon seeing the brothers on the news, realizing she wasn't alone, and felt empowered by other women coming forward. Chacin suggested a “domino effect,” where women felt more empowered to speak out as others shared their stories, breaking years of keeping such memories “in little boxes” due to shame or fear of disbelief. One woman reportedly attempted to report her assault to the police but was dismissed because she had willingly consumed what she suspected was laced marijuana and was denied a rape kit at the hospital.

The Prosecution Retorts

Attorneys for the alleged victims vehemently countered the defense’s claims, stating it is “both predictable and pathetic” to label victims as opportunistic for seeking civil remedies after allegedly being trafficked and raped. They argue that holding the Alexanders financially accountable is the only alternative for the lives they have ruined. The Alexander brothers are currently being held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center and are scheduled to go to trial in January 2026. Despite the challenges, their attorneys state the brothers are remaining “strong” and have no choice but to “stand and fight these accusations.”
