Shocking Club Incident: NFL Star Keion White Shot After Lil Baby Altercation

NFL player Keion White, a defensive lineman for the 49ers, was reportedly shot in the ankle early Monday, February 9, following an alleged argument with rapper Lil Baby at Dahlia’s, a San Francisco nightclub. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. PT, hours after the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. White was hosting a Super Bowl party at the time of the shooting.

According to ABC7, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) responded to calls for gunshots. The San Francisco Standard, which viewed the police report, stated that a witness informed law enforcement that White became involved in an argument with Lil Baby as the rapper and his entourage attempted to enter the private event, after which White was shot. Billboard has sought comments from representatives for Lil Baby and the SFPD regarding the incident.

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie expressed his concern on X, stating, “Any violent incident in our city is unacceptable, and I’m hoping Keion recovers quickly. I’ve spoken with SFPD and 49ers leadership — we are all grateful to our SFPD officers for their quick response. As always, I will continue working with San Francisco law enforcement to ensure our neighborhoods and our residents are safe.”

The San Francisco 49ers confirmed that White underwent successful surgery on his ankle, and his injuries are not anticipated to be career-threatening. A preliminary investigation, according to a statement from San Francisco police cited by ESPN, revealed that a verbal altercation took place between two groups inside the business, and the victim was injured when an unknown suspect fired shots. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the San Francisco Police Department has not named any suspects.

In other news related to the rapper, Lil Baby was seen attending Super Bowl LX with his son, Jason. On the music front, Baby has already secured collaborations with artists such as Tkandz, Veeze, and Rylo Rodriguez in 2026. Additionally, his track “Mrs. Trendsetter” held at No. 89 on last week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart.
