Shocking Cast Revealed: Tarantino and Minogue in 'Tangled Up in Blue'!

Quentin Tarantino and Welsh filmmaker Jamie Adams are collaborating again on a new feature project titled "Tangled Up in Blue." This marks another instance where the "Kill Bill" director will appear in front of the camera, this time acting opposite iconic pop star Kylie Minogue. The film boasts a notable cast, including Jason Isaacs, Allison Williams, Sofia Boutella, and RZA. "Tangled Up in Blue" is financially supported by New York-based producers Visor Entertainment, with Sabine Stener, Randy Kleinman, and Jordan Yale Levine serving as producers.

Reports from a local outlet indicate that Tarantino and Minogue were recently seen in the Welsh town of Porthcawl, actively filming scenes for the movie. Specifically, they shot a funeral sequence at Newton Church and a subsequent wake at the Saltwater Inn. The production also features several Welsh actors, including Karen Paullada, Julian Lewis Jones, Craig Russell, and Siwan Morris, with Paullada expressing her enjoyment of filming alongside the acclaimed cast and praising Jamie Adams' direction.

This new collaboration follows their previous project, "Only What We Carry." That film, which explored the romantic entanglements of a dancer, her sister, and her former choreographer, was shot swiftly over six days in Deauville, France. It also starred Tarantino, alongside Simon Pegg and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and premiered at Tribeca earlier the same month.

Jamie Adams recounted the unique process of casting Tarantino for "Only What We Carry." He directly cold-pitched Tarantino for the role of a wealthy benefactor, sending him a story outline and a personal letter. Adams conveyed his strong belief in Tarantino's acting abilities, particularly for an improvisational style that emphasizes being present and reacting organically. Given Tarantino's reputation as a masterful conversational storyteller, Adams envisioned this quality translating exceptionally well into character. Despite not expecting a reply, two weeks later, Tarantino's agent confirmed his intrigue and requested a Zoom meeting.

The subsequent Zoom call, as described by Adams, was an engaging and wide-ranging conversation, covering everything from movies to Welsh sitcoms like "Gavin & Stacey" and personal life experiences. Adams humorously recalled a moment where he interjected when Tarantino attempted to delve into character questions, stating it wasn't the right time for that discussion. Tarantino later revealed he appreciated this directness, realizing he was going to be genuinely directed. Within two days of that initial conversation, Tarantino officially joined the project, marking the beginning of their successful creative partnership.
