SHOCKER! D4vd's Star-Studded Collaborations Vanish From Streaming - What Went Wrong?!

Several notable collaborations involving the artist D4vd have been removed from streaming services following his arrest on first-degree murder charges. Songs featuring D4vd with artists such as Holly Humberstone ("Superbloodmoon"), Laufey ("This Is How It Feels"), Kali Uchis ("Crashing"), and Damiano David have all been scrubbed. Damiano David even replaced his D4vd-assisted track "Tangerine" with a solo version.
While news of D4vd's arrest broke recently, it is unclear precisely when each song was pulled from streaming platforms. However, as early as September of last year, Kali Uchis informed her fans on Instagram that her team was working to remove "Crashing." This announcement came after reports emerged that the body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. Uchis clarified her connection to the singer, stating, "Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given today’s disturbing news."
In the same month, figure-skating champion Alysa Liu also announced her decision to remove the Laufey/D4vd collaboration "This Is How It Feels" from her short form routine in light of the news regarding Rivas' body. Further repercussions include D4vd's song "What Are You Waiting For" reportedly being deleted from the Madden 26 soundtrack, and his label, Darkroom/Interscope, dropping him last year.
The only collaboration that appears to remain available on streaming services at the time of reporting is "The Line," a song with The Kid Laroi from Laroi’s 2023 album, "The First Time."
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was taken into custody recently and charged with the first-degree murder of Celeste Rivas. Authorities allege that Rivas threatened to expose an inappropriate sexual relationship with Burke just as his music career was beginning to flourish. According to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, "When she threatened to expose his criminal conduct and devastate his musical career, Burke allegedly murdered her, cut up her body and stuffed her body in two bags that were placed in the front trunk of his car." Hochman further described the crime as "horrific and gruesome" and stated that justice would be sought for Celeste's loved ones. The Rivas family has also issued a statement expressing their desire for justice. Billboard has reportedly reached out to D4vd's team for comment.
