Seini becomes first since Bogut with trio of 20+ rebound games - FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025 | FIBA Basketball

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) - Cameroon's Amadou Seini has made history, once again, at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025, cementing his name among the competition’s elite rebounders with yet another dominant performance on the glass.

Let us know what you think and vote:

In a tightly contested 81-77 loss to China in the Classification 13-14 game, Seini grabbed 24 rebounds, tying the second-most ever recorded in a single U19 World Cup game. Remarkably, it’s the second time in this tournament that he’s reached that exact mark - having also pulled down 24 boards against Australia earlier in the Group Phase.

Check out Seini's rebounding record from earlier in the competition:

With that, Seini becomes just the fourth player in tournament history to register multiple 24+ rebound games, joining Australian great Andrew Bogut, who had two 25-rebound performances in 2003, Qatar's Yassen Musa, and Lithuanian legend Jonas Valanciunas.

Seini's rebounding resume doesn’t stop there. He also hauled in 21 rebounds against Israel, giving him three games with 20 or more rebounds - again, a feat only Bogut had accomplished before him at the U19 level.
