A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with two sex attacks that occurred less than two hours apart in Rochdale on Saturday, July 25. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed the arrest on suspicion of attempted rape, with both incidents being treated as linked due to their proximity and similar perpetrator descriptions.
The first incident was reported at approximately 6:15 am in Broadfield Park, located in the town centre, where a woman stated she had been sexually assaulted by a stranger. Shortly thereafter, a second attack was reported at 8:38 am in Milnrow Memorial Park. The victim in this incident also reported being attacked by a man she did not know.
