Angel Reese seemed to be totally accepting of the referee’s decision in terms of Caitlin Clark’s foul committed during the game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever on Saturday. Clark committed the foul against Reese in the third quarter when Reese was about to take a shot. The LSU Tigers product immediately confronted Clark on the court.

The matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever was labeled as an adrenaline-filled one, way before the season started. The Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark rivalry has followed the pair right from their NCAA days.

“Basketball play, refs got it right, move on,” Angel Reese said about Caitlin Clark’s foul in the post-game press conference to reporters.

“It’s just a good take foul. Either Angel gets wide open two points or we send them to the free-throw line. Nothing malicious about it. It’s just a good take foul, every basketball player knows that.” Caitlin Clark said to a reporter while the game was going on.

The game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever turned out to be disastrous for Angel Reese . The Sky lost the game with a final 93-58 score, with Reese chalking up only 12 points for the team. Ariel Atkins added another 11 points, while Rachel Banham put up eight points in the losing effort for the Sky.

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky have already played two games in their preseason. The Chicago Sky took on the Minnesota Lynx as their first warm-up game and managed to pull off a 74-69 win. However, their grins were soon wiped off when they lost to the Lynx in the very next game with a 92-87 final score. After their disastrous first game against the Indiana Fever, the Chicago Sky will be taking on the New York Liberty to kick off the next weekend.

While Caitlin Clark had been awfully quiet in her WNBA offseason, the same thing cannot be said about Angel Reese. Reese played for the Rose basketball club in the inaugural season of the Unrivaled League, co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.

Reese managed to win the trophy with the Rose BC, making the first ever winners of the tournament. Still, Caitlin Clark does not seem to have lost her touch with the ball, destroying Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in her first game with the Indiana Fever in this WNBA season.
