Oasis Reunion Hopes Reignite As Liam Gallagher Drops Cryptic Hints

Liam Gallagher, the charismatic lead singer and former enfant terrible of Oasis, is clearly relishing the band's reunion tour, continually dropping hints that suggest more good times are on the horizon with his older brother and bandmate, Noel Gallagher. As the band geared up for the final push of shows in South America, commencing on November 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Liam engaged with fans online, further igniting speculation.

On Wednesday, November 12, an X user inquired if he was sad about the tour ending soon. The perpetually cheeky singer responded cryptically, stating, "I’m not actually as I know things you don’t know." When pressed by an eager fan for an explanation, Liam simply advised, "Google it." This exchange, along with previous remarks, has led to rampant speculation among fans that the band might extend their tour into next year, particularly to mark the 30th anniversary of their legendary 1996 Knebworth gigs, which drew 250,000 fans.

However, Liam also tempered expectations slightly when asked if his hints were "code" for a 2025 tour, following an earlier tease that the rapturously received reunion was "only starting." He countered, "Next year might be a little enthusiastic." Despite the lack of solid information, Liam did address claims that the reunion was merely "for the money," swiftly dismissing them. He replied, "Nobody think that it’s just fake news everybody knows we’re in it for the people and the good vibrations."

While Liam's comments continue to fuel fan hopes, it is important to note that, as of press time, no additional dates have been officially announced for Oasis beyond their scheduled final show at MorumBIS in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 23. Spokespeople for the band have not responded to requests for comment regarding the continuation of the tour.

Nevertheless, Gallagher has consistently raised expectations. Just last week, he told Australian fans, "You’ve got a lovely f–king country. See you again." The previous month, in response to a fan lamenting a favorite song being absent from the setlist, he playfully responded, "Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet it’s a tour of 2 half’s." From the very beginning of the reunion, which followed a sibling rivalry-fueled break-up in 2009, Gallagher appeared to be playing a long game. He ended a September 28 gig at Wembley Stadium in London with an initial tease, proclaiming, "see you next year."

The successful reunion run kicked off on July 4 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, followed by a five-night residency at Heaton Park in their hometown of Manchester, U.K., and subsequent gigs in London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. The tour then extended to North America, Mexico City, South Korea, Japan, and Australia, setting the stage for the current South American leg and the ongoing fan anticipation for more.
