Nigeria Breaks New Ground: Direct Flights to Brazil Launch Under Landmark Aviation Agreement
Nigeria and Brazil have formally entered into a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA), establishing a framework for direct air connectivity between the two nations. This significant agreement was signed by Nigeria's Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and Brazil's Minister of Transport, Silvio Costa Filho. The pact is poised to unlock new opportunities for trade, tourism, investment, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges, fostering stronger economic integration, cultural ties, and diplomatic cooperation.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva lauded the partnership, expressing Brazil's keen interest in deepening ties with Nigeria across multiple sectors, including aviation, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
