In an advert on its website, the financial institution explained that the programme is an opportunity for fresh graduates to jump-start their careers.

The NCBA Go Getter Internship Programme runs for eight months. The deadline to submit applications online is Sunday, February 23.

"In line with the Education Citizenship Agenda, the programme aims to give graduates a first-hand corporate experience while giving top-performing interns a chance to be included in the banks’ talent pipeline for upcoming positions," it expounded.
"Upon engagement, you will be required to provide copies and original certificates as proof of academic qualifications, including but not limited to high school and university certificates," the bank clarified.

NCBA Bank employs over 3,000 employees in 95 branches countrywide. It hired 44 interns in its first cohort.

Career counsellor Simon Ingari advised candidates to polish their resumes before submitting their applications.

Ingari said applicants should remove unnecessary information in their CVs, such as primary school data and irrelevant hobbies.

"Remove high school and primary school information (if you already attend university or experienced candidate). Don't need to specify hobbies unless directly relevant to the job. Also, delete inappropriate email addresses and use bullet points to make the CV clearer," he told TUKO.co.ke.

In January 2025, the lender announced several job openings for Kenyans.

Key responsibilities for the roles included developing business continuity plans, managing learning and development initiatives, driving ecosystem development, and overseeing operations and IT.
