Nakuru Woman Heartbroken as Hubby is Allegedly Killed for Plucking Avocados From Neighbour's Farm
According to a report by Citizen TV, the neighbours caught him attempting to steal the fruits and allegedly attacked him
He sustained injuries during the altercation and was rushed to a nearby dispensary, where he later succumbed.
Kamau’s widow, Julia Ngonyo, said she visited her husband in hospital to find out what had happened.
“I went to check on him at the hospital, and he told me he had been attacked and injured for stealing five avocados,” she said.
His mother, Naomi Kamau, called for justice and demanded answers about what really happened to her son, leading to his untimely death.
Even as police officers investigate the incident, the family noted that Kamau has left a huge void in their hearts that can never be filled.
Kenyans expressed outrage over the incident, with some blaming poverty and desperation, while others called for respect for private property.
Mora2341:
“There are serious anger issues in this country.”
Bigmikethedeejay:
“I do not condone killings, but can we all learn to respect other people’s property?”
Faith Pius:
“Have people become this inhumane?”
Ruthlisis:
“People are starving. Kenyans need to understand this and show compassion to those in need.”
Mwituamwenee:
“Two wrongs don’t make a right. The thief made the first mistake.”
John Ndungu:
“Poverty is the root cause of these tragedies.”
Sussy Awinja:
“And to those who have stolen my fence metals from the entire farm, I feel deeply hurt, but I leave you to God. Ruto should ban the scrap metal business.”
Mr Oblackoblack:
“So sorry. Kenyans are suffering from a scarcity mindset and poverty. Instead of putting money in people’s pockets, we have heavy taxation.”
