Governors and Traditional Rulers Meet Over Insecurity in Kaduna
Northern governors and traditional rulers are convening in Kaduna today at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House to address critical issues impacting the region. Insecurity is slated to be a primary focus of the discussions.
The agenda includes addressing the pervasive insecurity challenges in the North, poverty, the significant number of out-of-school children, and other socioeconomic difficulties confronting the region.
Governors from Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, and Niger States have already arrived for the meeting. Prominent traditional rulers in attendance include the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, the Etsu Nupe, the Emir of Zamfara, the Emirs of Bauchi and Katsina, the Emir of Ilorin, and the Emir of Keffi, among others.
The meeting will be presided over by the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, as the chief host, will deliver the welcome address.
