Iowa State Men Beat the Bearcats 81-70
The Cyclones men’s team wins their 10th Big XII conference game this afternoon against the Cincinnati Bearcats. It was a touch-and-go game after the Cyclones started hot and finished hot that also saw tempers flair resulting in five total technicals with four in the second half.
Iowa State was led by 6th man MVP (I’m already calling it) Curtis Jones with 22 points and six rebounds. He finished the game going 4-13 from the floor but made all 12 free throws including a few from two of the three Cincinnati technicals (One was offset by Dishon Jackson’s technical).
Tamin started hot today going 2-2 from 3-point land and finished the day with 11 points, five rebounds, and a team-high of four steals. Joshua Jefferson finished the day with 13 points and a team-high of seven rebounds, and Milan found his groove after starting slow with 12 points and two clutch threes. Other scorers were Brandton Chatfield with nine, Keshon with eight, and Dishon with six. Keshon and Dishon both had technicals during the game.
The next game for the men is against Colorado on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:00 PM CT at Hilton Coliseum.
