"Heart is broken": King Kaka painfully mourns former employee and friend Maurice
Popular showbiz events organiser and Kaka Empire management officer Maurice Ryan has died.

News of his death broke on Sunday, July 6, with his family confirming he succumbed after undergoing brain surgery.
Maurice had been open about his health struggles on social media, often sharing updates and expressing faith in God’s healing power.
One of his final posts noted he was unwell but hopeful.
His passing has sent shockwaves across the entertainment scene, with numerous celebrities mourning the man known for his unwavering support to them, behind the scenes.
Rapper and Kaka Empire boss King Kaka took to social media to mourn the man he often referred to as a brother.
“My Brother is Dead. My heart is Broken. Maurice Ryan, Morey Morey Morey,” he wrote alongside a photo of Maurice in better health.
Under his post, fellow rapper Femi One added a heart-wrenching message:
"Moreeee Manze. May his soul rest in peace."
Rap heavyweight Khaligraph Jones also honoured Maurice, sharing a brief but poignant tribute alongside his photo:
“Rest Easy Champ.”
Veteran Genge star Mejja expressed disbelief upon receiving the news, writing:
"Nimepigiwa na Ken, sijaamini. Mtu roho safi na plug wangu wa Kisumu Nikifika."
Afrobeat artiste and influencer Nebulazz shared a nostalgic tribute, recounting how he introduced Maurice to King Kaka in 2012, an encounter that blossomed into a deep friendship.
“Year 2012, a week before this photo, you called me… Maurice Ryan akiwa rapper bado... He asked me to introduce him to King Kaka. A week later, King Kaka was in Kisumu and I made the introduction. Maurice covered all the costs that day. he didn’t want King Kaka to spend a dime. They’ve been close friends ever since. The rest is history." he wrote sharing a TBT photo from their first meeting.
Another rapper, Wallan Black, remembered Maurice as someone who genuinely wanted to help others grow.
“Rest in peace Amigo… 2019 Maurice Ryan offered me a chance to join Kaka Empire. He called me and set a meeting at Acacia Hotel. I couldn’t take the opportunity at the time, but he told me to wait out my contract, and he’d call King Kaka.”
Maurice Ryan’s contributions to the entertainment industry, especially through Kaka Empire, left a lasting impact.

previously reported that popular Kenyan TikToker Milcah Nyatuga Murang’a, widely known as Milly Wa Doc, passed away.
Her family said she had developed a cyst that required urgent surgery.
After the procedure, she suffered severe bleeding and later experienced kidney failure.
