Global Beat Drops: Major Lazer & Los Ángeles Azules Set to Ignite FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown

FIFA has officially announced an electrifying Countdown Concert series for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, designed to build anticipation across the host countries. These pre-tournament shows, developed in collaboration with the Grammys, will take place simultaneously on June 10 in Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Toronto, connecting Mexico, the United States, and Canada through a synched musical celebration featuring a host of international stars.

The Mexico City event promises a historic night at the Auditorio Nacional, headlined by the iconic cumbia band Los Ángeles Azules, joined by pop sensation Belinda and Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose. The concert in the Latin American host country will also integrate with the existing México Vibra event, which will showcase additional Mexican and Latin American talents such as Alejandro Fernández, Carín León, Timbiriche, Carla Morrison, and Meme del Real, all performing at the same venue. An unnamed special guest is also anticipated to join the Mexico City lineup.

In Los Angeles, Grammy-winning artist Diplo will bring his Major Lazer project to the stage, ensuring an unforgettable night of music and celebration. He will be joined by acclaimed artist Davido, with further performers expected to be announced at a later date, adding to the star-studded roster for the U.S. segment of the concert series.

Canada’s Toronto show, whose lineup was announced on May 29, will feature legendary rock artist Bryan Adams. The concert will also include performances by Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjoy and Vegedream, and a unique collaboration between AHI and Wyclef Jean. Additional artists and special guests for the Toronto event are also yet to be revealed.

Fans worldwide will be able to experience the excitement as the Countdown Concert will be streamed live across FIFA’s digital channels. The global livestream will commence at 7 p.m. in Mexico City, 6 p.m. in Los Angeles, and 8 p.m. in Toronto (local times), notably including a broadcast on the official FIFA World Cup TikTok account, making the event accessible to a vast international audience.
