EA FC 26 Unveils Star Ratings, Global Arenas, & Epic Icon Match

EA Sports FC 26, the eagerly anticipated upcoming soccer game, is set to offer players an immersive experience with a wealth of authentic content, including an extensive list of stadiums, detailed player ratings, and exciting real-world events. The game emphasizes a commitment to realism through its meticulously crafted environments and highly rated athletes, further enhanced by unique collaborations that extend the gaming experience beyond the digital realm.

A cornerstone of the game's authenticity is its impressive collection of over 130 authentic soccer stadiums. While many locations are returning from previous iterations, EA Sports FC 26 introduces several high-profile additions. Among these is FC Bayern Munich's iconic Allianz Arena, a significant return, especially with Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala featuring as one of the game's cover stars. Fans can also anticipate playing in SSC Napoli's Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, named after the legendary Argentine, providing a fitting setting to defend the Serie A championship. Other notable new additions include Everton's brand-new Hill Dickinson Stadium and Inter Miami's Chase Stadium from the United States. New stadiums are also making their way into various leagues, such as Elland Road, Stadium of Light, and Turf Moor in the Premier League; King Power Stadium, Portman Road, and St. Mary's Stadium in the EFL; RheinEnergieStadion, Volksparkstadion, and the Allianz Arena itself in the Bundesliga; Holstein-Stadion, SchücoArena, Stadion am Böllenfalltor, and Vonovia Ruhrstadion in 2 Bundesliga; Stade de la Beaujoire in Ligue 1; Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Serie A; Tüpraş Stadyumu in Süper Lig; Stadion Wankdorf in Super League; Red Bull Arena (Salzburg) in Ö. Bundesliga; and Chase Stadium in MLS.

The highly anticipated rating reveal season for EA FC 26 has also arrived, showcasing the sport's elite players. Liverpool FC's Mohamed Salah claims the top spot with an impressive 91 OVR, excelling in Dribbling, Pace, and Shooting. He is closely followed by Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, who also boasts a 91 OVR and remains the game's fastest player with a stunning 97 Pace. The star duo from FC Barcelona, Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí, are the highest-rated women players, both achieving 91 OVR. In specific skill categories, FC Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is crowned the best shooter, Kevin De Bruyne the most adept passer, and Ousmane Dembélé the best dribbler. Notably, FC Barcelona's Mapi León stands out as the only woman to lead a category, surpassing Virgil van Dijk and Marquinhos as the best defensive player. Other top-rated men include Rodri, Virgil van Dijk, Jude Bellingham, and Erling Haaland (all 90 OVR), while prominent women include Caroline Graham Hansen (90 OVR), Alessia Russo, Mariona Caldentey, and Mapi León (all 89 OVR).

Adding another layer of excitement, South Korean developer NEXON is organizing the 2025 Icons Match, a real-world clash of soccer titans. This event, taking place on September 13 and 14 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, will feature two star-studded rosters: FC Spear and Shield United. FC Spear includes legends like Gianluigi Buffon, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Clarence Seedorf, Eden Hazard, Franck Ribéry, Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale, Kaká, Steven Gerrard, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, and Didier Drogba, coached by Arsene Wenger. Shield United counters with Iker Casillas, Alessandro Nesta, Michael Carrick, Sol Campbell, Claude Makélélé, Ashley Cole, Nemanonja Vidic, Carles Puyol, and Rio Ferdinand, coached by Rafa Benitez. Following Shield United's 4-1 victory last year, FC Spear seeks redemption in the rematch. This real-world event will also bring accompanying in-game events to EA FC Online and EA FC Mobile, providing a unique integration for fans worldwide, with the match being broadcast through FC Mobile's in-game channel for those unable to secure the quickly sold-out live tickets.
