Drake Shatters Billboard Records, Joins Taylor Swift in Elite Hot 100 Club

Drake continues to redefine Billboard chart history with each new music release, consistently rewriting record books. His latest triumphs with the albums ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, featuring a total of 42 tracks, have brought him even closer to a complete sweep of the Billboard Hot 100 chart positions, significantly narrowing the list of ranks he has yet to conquer.

Drake's journey of accumulating distinct peak positions on the Hot 100 is remarkable. Following his 2018 album Scorpion, he had achieved peaks at 84 different spots. This count grew to 90 peak ranks with 2021's Certified Lover Boy, and then to 91 after Honestly, Nevermind in 2022. Subsequent releases between 2022 and 2025 further propelled him to 93 distinct peak positions. With the impact of his three newest collections, as reflected on the May 30- and June 6-dated Hot 100s, Drake has added two more peak positions, bringing his record total to an astounding 95.

A notable achievement in his recent run is reaching peaks at every position within the Hot 100's top 40. This milestone was secured when his track “Firm Friends” debuted at No. 31, filling the last remaining spot he needed in that upper tier. Currently, Drake has successfully peaked at every number between Nos. 1 and 45. Furthermore, his song “Stuck” spent a week at No. 93 on the May 30 Hot 100, marking another 'bingo' for him.

Drake shares the exclusive honor of having notched peaks at all positions in the Hot 100’s top 40 with Taylor Swift, who completed her set in May 2024 when “So High School” peaked at No. 24. Swift has achieved peak positions at every rank from No. 1 through No. 69. For Drake, the Hot 100 ranks where he has yet to peak are Nos. 46, 77, 96, 98, and 99. In contrast, Swift has missed peaking at Nos. 70, 78, 81, 86, 93, and 95-100, totaling 89 career peak positions.

The impressive nature of Drake's feat is further underscored by the fact that he has peaked at 93 of the Hot 100’s top 95 positions. While reaching Nos. 96, 98, and 99 in the future might seem minor compared to his multiple No. 1 records, it would be another step towards fully checking off every page of his Hot 100 passport. Beyond just peak positions, Drake had already achieved the remarkable feat of ranking at every single rung on the chart even before his latest three album releases.

His chart dominance extends beyond the Hot 100. On the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, which has a depth of 50 positions since October 2012, Drake has peaked at 49 of them, missing only the very bottom spot, No. 50. Similarly, on the Streaming Songs chart, he has peaked at every position from No. 1 to its No. 50 anchor spot.

To put Drake’s 95 Hot 100 peak ranks into perspective, only 27 artists in the chart’s nearly 68-year history have even charted that many songs. Drake leads all artists with an astonishing 402 career entries on the Hot 100, followed by Taylor Swift with 276 entries and Post Malone rounding out the top three with 97. These artists stand out among the more than 8,300 artists who have graced the chart over its long history.
