Delhi Weather Update: Monsoon Showers To Hit Capital Soon! Rain To Lash Today - Check Forecast
As the wait for the arrival of Monsoon in the national capital continues, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain for today. It stated that the southwest monsoon has further advanced over remaining parts of north Arabian Sea; some more parts of Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. With this development, its progression towards Delhi has become accelerated. The IMD in its daily weather bulletin, stated that conditions are favourable for further advancement of the monsoon over some more parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and remaining parts of West Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours.
For Thursday, June 26, the IMD has predicted moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning. The sky will remain generally cloudy with maximum temperature expected at 34°C. Gusty winds with speed 30-40 kmph are likely to occur. The IMD has issued no specific weather warning for Delhi today.
Pre-monsoon shower conditions were observed in the capital over the last week. It included sharp drop in maximum temperatures, sudden thunderstorms, light to moderate rain, high humidity levels etc. Delhi will continue to witness rainy spell throughout the week.
