Casting Coup: Samara Weaving Joins Olivia Wilde's 'Naughty' Holiday Film

Olivia Wilde’s eagerly anticipated next feature film, titled Naughty, is shaping up to be a star-studded holiday comedy from Universal Pictures. The cast continues to expand, with Samara Weaving, known for her role in Ready Or Not, being the latest actor to join the ensemble, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The screenplay for Naughty was penned by Jimmy Warden, who also serves as a producer alongside Olivia Wilde. Warden’s previous writing credits include the films Cocaine Bear and Bordeline, the latter of which also starred Samara Weaving. The film boasts an impressive lineup of talent, including Jennifer Aniston, Peter Dinklage, Regina Hall, Chase Sui Wonders, and Ike Barinholtz, all set to feature in prominent roles.

Described as “Bridesmaids in the North Pole,” Naughty is expected to deliver a raunchy take on the holiday movie genre. The central plot revolves around a mother, portrayed by Jennifer Aniston, who finds herself in a desperate situation. Her only viable path to securing custody of her son from her manipulative ex-husband, played by Ike Barinholtz, is to locate Santa Claus, embodied by Peter Dinklage, and persuade him to testify on her behalf during her divorce hearing. Samara Weaving will take on the role of Barinholtz’s on-screen mistress, adding another layer to the comedic premise.
