Cam'ron Unleashes on Damon Dash Over 'Revolt Chairman' Claim

The long-standing rivalry between Cam’ron and Damon Dash has erupted into a renewed war of words, intensified by a potential series based on Dash’s 2002 film, Paid in Full, which is reportedly being produced by 50 Cent and Cam’ron. The latest friction stems from a contentious interview given by Damon Dash on The Breakfast Club, where the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder claimed he had been appointed chairman of Revolt TV with a “pathway to acquisition.” This news, initially reported exclusively by VIBE, has since become a subject of considerable controversy.
Cam’ron swiftly responded to Dash’s claims via an Instagram video, in which 50 Cent’s “What Up Gangsta” played in the background. In his response, Cam’ron directly challenged Dash’s veracity, stating, “I ain’t know you’d be lying like this, yo, it’s sad.” He admitted to having heard rumors about Dash’s dishonesty previously but expressed surprise at the extent of it. Cam’ron then elaborated on his understanding of Dash’s actual involvement with Revolt TV. According to Cam’ron, Dash had called Revolt the previous week, expressing a desire to place his content on their channel. However, Revolt’s programming schedule is reportedly booked until 2026.
Seeking to assist, Cam’ron contacted Fendi, a mutual friend who communicates with Dash. Cam’ron conveyed through Fendi that he would be willing to use two of his own remaining content slots on Revolt’s YouTube for Dash’s shows, on the condition that Cam’ron would executive produce them. He recalled how Dash had previously helped him and The Diplomats by releasing their album on Roc-A-Fella Records, with Dash as executive producer, stating, “When I needed help, he put my album out on Roc-A-Fella and I let him be executive producer. I’m trying to do the same thing for you.” Cam’ron further suggested he would offer Dash financial compensation, noting Dash had expressed a willingness to do the shows for free.
However, Dash allegedly rejected this offer, relaying through Fendi, “Nah, matter of fact, f— that. I’m the Godfather. He can’t executive produce my shows.” Cam’ron then launched into a sharp critique of Dash, questioning his self-proclaimed “Godfather” status by remarking, “Dame, your own godkids don’t want you. How you the godfather of anything? Your word don’t count no more. You don’t got teeth. You have dentures. Your word don’t mean nothin’. You fell off the Mount Rushmore Harlem a long time ago.” He promised to address these points further on his show, “Talk With Flee,” airing on Revolt’s YouTube.
The intricate relationship between Damon Dash and Cam’ron dates back to their time growing up in Harlem before they achieved fame as rap legends. Their professional ties include a significant period when Cam’ron and The Diplomats were signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, indicating a history of both personal connection and lucrative business collaboration that continues to fuel their public disagreements.
