Actor & Photographer Brad Everett Young's Tragic Passing Sparks Outpouring of Tributes

Hollywood has lost a multi-talented individual with the passing of actor and photographer Brad Everett Young at the age of 46. Young tragically died following a collision on the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles, where his vehicle was struck by a car traveling in the wrong direction. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other motorist involved was transported to a hospital.

Beyond his acting career, Brad Everett Young was widely recognized for his significant contributions as a photographer. He was a familiar presence at numerous prestigious events, including premieres, galas, and award ceremonies, where he conducted extensive photography shoots across the United States for various publications. His lens captured a multitude of celebrity figures, including notable personalities such as David Harbour, Seth Green, Emma Caulfield Ford, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

As an actor, Young secured roles in several well-known productions, adding to his diverse portfolio. His acting credits include appearances in popular series like 'Boy Meets World,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' and 'Charlie's Angels,' as well as a part in the blockbuster film 'Jurassic Park III.'

His publicist, Paul Christensen, shared a heartfelt statement with The Hollywood Reporter, emphasizing Young's profound dedication to the arts. “Brad's passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched,” Christensen stated. Young’s commitment extended to establishing Dream Loud Official, an organization founded with the vital mission of restoring and preserving music and art programs in schools across the United States. Christensen further added, “He lived his mission of keeping creativity alive, and his legacy will continue through Dream Loud Official.”

Interestingly, Young initially moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of pursuing a career in medicine. However, his path soon shifted towards acting. Reflecting on this transition in 2015, Young shared, “L.A. was just the place where I could make those decisions with all the job opportunities the town offered. In the first month here, I went out on my first audition for a TV series, booked it, joined the Screen Actors Guild, and the rest was history. I fell in love with everything in this business and the journey and strength it takes to accomplish what you want in it.”

Following the news of his passing, numerous heartfelt tributes poured in from colleagues and admirers. Chris McKenna, an actor from 'General Hospital,' posted a tribute stating, “These were taken just a couple weeks ago by the late @bradley206 we won't see another like him.” Another 'General Hospital' performer, Parry Shan, expressed, “Brad Everett Young was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. But the one trait that made him truly stand out in this business, often filled with cynicism, was his indomitable positivity.” An admirer also shared, “A lovely man who was respectful to fans and the celebrities whose pictures he took. Such a tragedy, such a loss. I pray for comfort to his family and friends. RIP Brad Everett Young.”
