BLACKPINK's Lisa Delights Fans with Viral Monkey Punch Moments in Japan

BLACKPINK member Lisa recently took a well-deserved break from her demanding schedule to visit Punch, a baby macaque, at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Chiba Prefecture, just outside Tokyo, Japan.
On Saturday, March 7, the 28-year-old singer shared heartwarming snapshots of her visit on social media.
Punch gained online fame after being bullied by other apes in his enclosure and subsequently found comfort in a large orangutan stuffed toy, which he now carries everywhere.
In a touching show of support, Lisa brought her own stuffed orangutan and held it up for Punch to see.
The photos, shared on her Instagram Story, captured Lisa flashing a wide smile, dressed casually in a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and a light-colored knitted beanie.
She also posted several endearing pictures of Punch himself, comfortably situated in his cage alongside his beloved stuffed companion, offering fans a glimpse into the monkey's unique story and Lisa's compassionate gesture.
Lisa's visit comes amidst a period of intense activity for the K-pop star and her group. In recent months, Lisa has embarked on filming for a new movie titled "Tygo" in South Korea.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK recently released a new five-track EP named "DEADLINE," marking their first significant music release since their chart-topping album "Born Pink" in 2022.
The mini-album features the lead single "Jump," which was released last summer and impressively reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, along with other tracks including "Go," "Me and My," "Champion," and "Fxxxboy."
Prior to "DEADLINE," the iconic foursome had reunited for an extensive stadium tour, following a period where each member pursued successful solo projects.
LISA, ROSÉ, and JENNIE each launched their debut solo albums—"Alter Ego," "Rosie," and "Ruby," respectively—while JISOO also made her solo debut with the EP "Amortage," further highlighting the group's individual talents and collective strength.
