The acclaimed singer also offered fans a glimpse into the creative process behind her new album. On Saturday, she posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos and short video clips on her Instagram grid, documenting the making of "Petal." The post was captioned simply, "petal forever," giving followers an intimate look at the dedication and artistry involved in its creation.

Parallel to her album's success, Grande recently concluded the North American leg of her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour. The final performance for this leg took place on Friday night in Chicago, an emotional moment for the star and her fans. This upcoming hiatus from the public eye has been a planned decision, as confirmed by a statement from Grande's representative shared with People last weekend. The statement clarified that "She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances." Grande herself emphasized that this decision to "take a step back from visibility" was "quietly made a long time ago" and is not "reactive" to recent heightened public scrutiny concerning her physical appearance and weight. As a consequence of this planned break, Grande will also be bowing out of her previously announced starring role in an upcoming revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park With George," which was slated to open next summer in London.
