Wizarding World to Debut First-Ever LEGO Harry Potter Land at LEGOLAND Deutschland

Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have announced a groundbreaking new venture: the world’s first LEGO Harry Potter land will open at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. This project will also introduce the first-ever Harry Potter-themed guest accommodation at any LEGOLAND park, marking a historic milestone for fans of the Wizarding World.
For the first time, Hogwarts and other iconic settings will be fully reimagined in LEGO form within a dedicated, immersive destination. Fiona Eastwood, CEO of Merlin Entertainments, described the project as a defining moment for the company’s global ambitions. She emphasized that the collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences demonstrates their ability to transform beloved brands into unforgettable experiences. Eastwood noted, “This partnership launches at our Resort in Germany and marks Merlin’s largest-ever single investment into an existing site, reflecting our strategy to prioritise locations with the greatest growth potential.”
Peter van Roden, EVP of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, explained the strategic vision behind the collaboration. He highlighted the successful history of partnerships with Merlin Entertainments and the LEGO Group in creating unique fan experiences. Van Roden stated the aim is to allow millions of Harry Potter fans worldwide to "step into the familiar LEGO Harry Potter aesthetic they have been constructing for years and physically experience the wizarding world like never before," extending the franchise’s magic beyond the screen.
The LEGOLAND Deutschland project is part of a broader expansion of the Harry Potter universe. Another themed land was previously announced for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island in 2022, featuring iconic film locations, rides, shops, merchandise, and themed dining. The franchise’s enduring popularity is further underscored by a new TV series in development, led by showrunner Francesca Gardiner, director Mark Mylod, and a cast including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, and Nick Frost as Hagrid. With these ongoing projects, the Wizarding World continues to captivate audiences globally, and LEGOLAND Deutschland is poised to be the next must-visit destination for fans.
