Wicked: For Good's Final Trailer Unleashes Dorothy, Tin Man, and Scarecrow with Grande & Erivo

The highly anticipated sequel, "Wicked: For Good," is set to captivate audiences with its grand theatrical release on November 21. This Jon M. Chu-helmed cinematic event promises to round out the beloved tale, continuing the narrative from the 2024 film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway musical. With less than two months until its debut, Universal Pictures has unveiled a final trailer, offering a deeper look into the events that will shape the destinies of Oz's most iconic witches.
The film delves into the second act of the musical, exploring the evolving dynamic between Elphaba and Glinda as their friendship is severely tested. Both characters embrace their new, formidable identities: Elphaba as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda as Glinda the Good Witch of the North. The story promises to illustrate how the profound consequences of their choices will irrevocably alter the Land of Oz forever.
Returning to their celebrated roles are Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, whose performances previously garnered significant attention. The stellar cast also includes Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Ethan Slater as Boq, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, and Bronwyn James as ShenShen. The screenplay for "Wicked: For Good" was penned by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, building upon the rich source material.
The final trailer highlights several monumental moments crucial to the story's progression. Viewers witness Glinda's transformation into Glinda the Good, complete with the creation of her iconic bubble and wand. On a more intense note, Elphaba and Glinda are seen engaging in a heated exchange at a location familiar to fans of "The Wizard of Oz," seemingly coinciding with the arrival of the tornado that brings Dorothy to Oz. Despite earlier indications that Dorothy would be a background fixture, the trailer teases her first encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz alongside her companions, and Boq's pivotal metamorphosis into the Tin Man.
Ethan Slater, who portrays Boq, emphasized the thematic depth of the sequel, stating that for every character, "the second movie is a moment of dealing with the consequences of your actions. In a way that deepens all the storylines, and it's really exciting." He also hinted at a more complex evolution for Boq and Nessarose's relationship, moving beyond the
