US Mom’s Grocery Run With 32 Pizzas and Dozens of Snacks Sparks Online Debate

A mother-of-three, known on TikTok as @boymomx3_b, has ignited a fierce online debate after showcasing a monumental grocery haul that included an astonishing 32 frozen pizzas and over a dozen blocks of cheese. The US-based mum, who works full-time, explained that this extensive food supply was intended for her three sons and her parents, who have recently moved in with her, bringing the household total to six.
The 37-year-old mother from North Carolina detailed her multi-store shopping spree, which involved visiting four different establishments to gather all the items. Her pantry and fridge are now stocked with an array of convenience and processed foods. Among the numerous purchases were two large boxes of mini brownies, a substantial pack of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, a big box of Oatmeal Cream Pies, several cereal bars, tea, and five large bags of frozen fries.
For beverages and snacks, the family will be consuming two big jars of mayonnaise, a remarkable 14 blocks of various cheeses, nine large bottles of sugary fizzy drinks, multiple packs of Oreos, and additional sugary cereal. The highlight of the haul, and the most discussed, was the staggering 32 frozen pizzas, which were so numerous they almost towered over her in the viral video. When it came to fresh produce, the selection was notably sparse, consisting only of two cucumbers, one head of lettuce, grapes, some bananas, and a large watermelon.

The mother proudly stated, "We took all they had," in reference to clearing the frozen aisle of pizzas. The grand total for this shopping trip came to $476.68 (£352.33), which she noted was "a little bit less than last time" despite leaving several items off her list because they hadn't run out. In her video caption, she pondered, "Why do groceries have to cost so much."
However, instead of sympathy for the cost, the video, which quickly garnered over 5 million views, sparked widespread condemnation from TikTok users. Viewers were "gobsmacked" by what they termed a "diabetes-inducing" diet. Thousands slammed the mother for the imbalance in her purchases, particularly the stark contrast between the vast quantities of processed and sugary foods and the minimal fresh produce. One commenter exclaimed, "NINEEEE bottles of soda THIRTY TWOO pizzas and like two cucumbers is wild." Another user bluntly stated, "Diabetes is around the corner," while a third expressed, "i cannot imagine living like this."
A particularly incisive comment highlighted the disparity: "2 cucumbers, 1 head of lettuce, 1 watermelon, 1 bag of grapes, 1 bunch of bananas. You spent nearly $500 on groceries, and only bought 6 pieces of fresh produce." Another viewer observed, "You bought more bottles of dry pepper than you did vegetables." In response to the overwhelming criticism, the mother offered a simple retort to her detractors: "Don’t watch then."
