The ceremony itself paid homage to the diverse sounds and career trajectories spanning the country. Among the evening's highlights, Geoffrey Ekongot received a standing ovation for his Lifetime Achievement award, honoring his enduring influence on the genre. To see it celebrated in a place of learning with support from partners like Bond 7, means we get to see it persist, grow, and fearlessly evolve."
