Tragic Loss: Big Brother Star Mickey Lee Dead at 35, Cause Revealed

Fans of the popular reality television show Big Brother were deeply saddened by the news of season 27 houseguest Mickey Lee's passing. She tragically died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, at the age of 35. Her family officially confirmed the heartbreaking news through a heartfelt Instagram post published on December 26, 2025. The post honored Mickey, stating, "Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike." It further added that she would be remembered for the immense joy she brought into countless lives and for the authentic connections she cultivated both within the show and in her personal life.
Lee's unexpected death followed a sudden and severe health crisis. Just two days prior to her passing, on December 23, 2025, a GoFundMe page was established, revealing the critical nature of her condition. The fundraiser's initial description explained that the reality star had suffered "a series of cardiac arrests" and was subsequently hospitalized in an intensive care unit. At the time, her condition was described as critical but stable, with her being surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones. However, the description also highlighted the long and challenging road to recovery that lay ahead.
The GoFundMe page was specifically created to alleviate the "enormous emotional and financial strain" her family faced, aiming to cover significant medical expenses not covered by insurance, the costs associated with ICU and specialist care, rehabilitation, ongoing recovery support, and related family travel and lodging expenses. Her family later disclosed that these cardiac arrests were complications stemming from the flu. Despite Mickey Lee's known vibrant personality and active lifestyle, the sudden onset and severity of her health crisis came as a profound shock to everyone who knew her.
