Top Political Brass Rallies Support for Tinubu's Reforms Ahead of 2027 Battle

The National Executives of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement were recently inaugurated in Abuja, an event that gathered prominent political figures to galvanize support for President Tinubu's administration and his re-election bid in 2027. Founded by High Chief Dr Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, the movement is strategically positioned to mobilize grassroots support for the President's vision and policies.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, delivered a goodwill message, underscoring the critical importance of the reforms initiated by President Bola Tinubu. Akpabio acknowledged that these reforms might present temporary difficulties but asserted their absolute necessity for the nation's progress. He articulated that genuine national greatness is not achieved by avoiding challenging decisions, but rather by confronting them with wisdom, patience, and patriotism, emphasizing that lasting progress often demands temporary sacrifice from the populace.

Echoing this sentiment, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, lauded President Tinubu's administration for its courageous socio-economic reforms. Speaker Tajudeen expressed conviction that history would be kind to President Tinubu for the bold steps taken. He specifically cited the removal of the fuel subsidy, the unification of the exchange rate, and the comprehensive rebuilding of the tax system through reform Acts implemented in January. Tajudeen stressed that these were not popular decisions made for immediate applause, but rather strategic moves made for the long-term benefit and posterity of Nigeria. He further noted that the early dividends of these reforms were already visible, manifesting in rising revenues, a resurgence of confidence, and the establishment of a fiscal system that incentivizes production over mere consumption. He affirmed the movement's commitment to the President's "Renewed Hope Agenda" and his second term in office.

The call for extensive grassroots mobilization was a recurring theme throughout the inauguration. Both President of the Senate Akpabio and Speaker Tajudeen urged the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, along with other supporting groups and party members, to actively engage communities at the local level to secure widespread support for President Tinubu. APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, intensified this directive, charging members to interact directly with Nigerians in their communities. Yilwatda posited that electoral victories are forged through personal engagement with voters, not through media campaigns or social media presence. He encouraged members to "knock on every door," believing that each interaction would translate into a vote and amplify the "Renewed Hope Agenda."

Further academic and leadership perspectives reinforced the administration's trajectory. Professor Bashir Makarfi of Bayero University, Kano, delivered a keynote lecture, asserting that the reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration were demonstrably beginning to yield positive results. He declared, "The fact is too visible to be denied that Nigeria is undergoing a transformation under Bola Tinubu." Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, characterized President Tinubu as a symbol of purposeful leadership and called upon Nigerians to maintain unity and resilience behind the administration, expressing confidence that through these virtues, Nigeria would reach its "promised land."
