TMO Launches Initiative to Help 40 Families Conceive Through IVF Funding

In an inspiring act of compassion, veteran TV presenter and CEO of Lagos-based real estate firm Reb360, Dr. Tope Mark-Odigie, popularly known as TMO, has announced a major initiative to assist 40 families in achieving their dream of having children through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) funding.
The initiative, which marks her 40th birthday celebration, is deeply rooted in her personal story. As an only child, Dr. Mark-Odigie reveals that her parents struggled with infertility before finally having her. However, due to financial constraints, they could not afford the IVF treatments that might have helped them have more children.
“Being an only child is tough,” she said. “But what was even harder was watching my parents’ dreams of a larger family fade because they couldn’t afford IVF. Many families today don’t even have a child of consolation like my parents did with me.”
Motivated by empathy and a desire to support families facing similar struggles, Dr. Mark-Odigie has committed to funding IVF treatments for 40 families who have been trying to conceive for at least five years without success. She is calling on individuals, organizations, and IVF clinics to join her in funding the procedures, which currently cost between ₦5,000,000 and ₦6,000,000 per treatment, excluding additional medical needs.
Over the past five years, she has actively volunteered and partnered with Quiverfull Foundation, a reputable IVF-focused organization based in Lagos founded by Catherine Adenike Abagun. This year, TMO is looking to scale the impact by rallying support from at least 39 additional sponsors to fulfill her vision of helping 40 families.
“The goal is simple,” she stated. “To raise sufficient funds and collaborate with trustworthy clinics so that these deserving families can experience the joy of parenthood.”
Over 1,000 families have already submitted their stories, hoping to be selected. TMO emphasized that more partners are urgently needed to meet the growing demand and maximize the reach of the project.
In a live video with Adenike Abagun, she stated that the three ways to qualify include joining Quiverfull Foundation, which is free, for only couples who have been marrie for over five years and for women less than 50 years of age.
