Taylor Swift Reigns Supreme: 'The Life of a Showgirl' Dominates Billboard 200 for Six Weeks!

Taylor Swift’s album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” has achieved a remarkable milestone, spending its sixth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated November 22, 2025. This impressive run saw the album earn 110,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending November 13, a slight 8% decrease from the previous week, according to Luminate data. “The Life of a Showgirl” is only the second album in 2025 to maintain the No. 1 position for its first six weeks, following Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem, which reigned for its initial eight weeks out of twelve total weeks at the top. This accomplishment places Swift’s latest achievement alongside her previous successes: her 2024 album “The Tortured Poets Department” led for its first twelve weeks out of seventeen total weeks, and Folklore also held No. 1 for its first six weeks in 2020, achieving eight weeks overall at the top.
A detailed breakdown of “The Life of a Showgirl’s” 110,000 equivalent album units for the latest tracking week shows that streaming equivalent album (SEA) units formed the largest portion with 88,500 units (down 10%). This translated to 115.91 million on-demand official streams, securing the album’s sixth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Album sales contributed 19,000 units (up 7%), allowing the album to maintain its No. 4 position on the Top Album Sales chart. Track equivalent album (TEA) units accounted for the remaining 2,500 units (down 32%).
The latest Billboard 200 chart also featured notable new entries and movements within the top 10. Rosalía made a striking debut with “LUX” landing at No. 4 — her first top 10 entry. The album earned 46,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, marking a personal-best performance for the artist. SEA units comprised 27,000 of these (equaling 34.49 million on-demand official streams), giving Rosalía her best streaming week ever and a No. 9 debut on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Album sales for LUX were also exceptional at 19,000 units, her strongest sales week to date, resulting in a No. 4 debut on the Top Album Sales chart. TEA units were negligible. Rosalía’s previous Billboard 200 entry was 2022’s MOTOMAMI, which peaked at No. 33. The strong debut of LUX was boosted by multiple sales strategies, including four different CD boxed sets (each containing branded clothing), two vinyl LPs (one signed), a standard CD, and a digital download album. Physical editions included three bonus tracks not available on the standard digital and streaming versions.
Elsewhere on the chart, Olivia Dean’s “The Art of Loving” reached a new peak, rising from No. 7 to No. 5 with 41,000 equivalent album units earned (up 11%). Following Dean, four former No. 1 albums held strong positions: Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” remained at No. 6 with 37,000 units (down 5%), SZA’s “SOS” rose 8–7 with 32,000 units (up 3%), Cardi B’s “AM I THE DRAMA?” climbed 10–8 with 30,000 units (up 9%), and Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” stayed at No. 9 with nearly 30,000 units (up less than 1%). At Nos. 2 and 3, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack exchanged their positions from the previous week, earning 76,000 units (down 2%) and 75,000 units (down 11%), respectively.
Making a noteworthy debut at No. 10 was YEONJUN’s first solo album, “NO LABELS PART 01,” which accumulated 29,000 equivalent album units. Album sales drove the majority of this performance, accounting for 27,000 units and resulting in a No. 1 debut on the Top Album Sales chart. SEA units totaled 2,000 (equaling 3.24 million on-demand official streams), while TEA units were negligible. Similar to Rosalía, YEONJUN’s first-week numbers were supported by multiple CD versions offering collectible paper ephemera (some randomized), as well as a standard digital download edition. YEONJUN’s group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, maintains a strong Billboard 200 presence with seven of their twelve entries having reached the top 10, including 2023’s The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, which hit No. 1.
The Billboard 200 chart meticulously ranks the most popular albums in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, measured in equivalent album units compiled by Luminate.
