Star Taylour Paige's Health Revelation: A Diagnosis That Changed Everything
Actress Taylour Paige, known for her role in "IT: Welcome to Derry," has transformed into a dedicated "wellness girlie" after years of self-admitted neglect. The 35-year-old star shared her journey in a recent episode of Women's Health's "Well Said" video series, emphasizing her newfound commitment to health and fitness. "There were many years where I was neglectful to myself," Paige confessed, adding, "Now, I feel like every day is a day earned, and I just don't want to squander any of it."
This significant shift towards a healthier lifestyle was spurred by a challenging personal health battle: an endometriosis diagnosis. Endometriosis, a condition affecting approximately 11 percent of American women, required surgery, and Taylour was determined to face it in the best possible physical condition. "I'm a recovering endometriosis warrior," she revealed. Her primary motivation was to create an optimal environment for her body to heal, stating, "Because my body was under so much stress with endometriosis, I wanted everything else to be optimal, so that my body could actually heal."
Since her recovery, Taylour Paige has continued to prioritize both physical and mental strength, a commitment that remains unwavering even while enduring the demanding schedule of filming on location. Recalling her nine-month shoot for "IT: Welcome to Derry" in the often-gloomy climate of Ontario, Canada, she highlighted the importance of maintaining mental well-being. "I was away from home for nine months—there is no sun," she explained, emphasizing, "I needed to stay sane."
To achieve this, Paige adopted a series of consistent healthy habits. These included daily visits to the sauna, where she would both read and sweat, effectively combining mental engagement with physical detoxification. She also conscientiously increased her Vitamin D intake, took numerous walks to stay active, and found solace in reclining on her crystal mat, often while delving into the works of authors like Carl Jung. Furthermore, her fitness regimen involves working out two to three times a week, with a preference for Pilates and strength training. These routines, along with specific training for roles like swinging on a pole for the 2021 film "Zola," underscore her comprehensive approach to health. For a full exploration of Taylour Paige's extensive healthy habits, viewers are encouraged to watch the complete "Well Said" episode.
