Transfer Speculation Grows as Manchester United Target Liverpool’s Mac Allister
The latest football transfer news and rumors are heating up across Europe, with top clubs preparing major recruitment strategies ahead of the summer transfer window.
Several high-profile players are being linked with blockbuster moves, fueling speculation across the Premier League and Europe’s elite leagues.
Manchester United is reportedly considering a shock move for Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as part of their summer midfield rebuild.
The 27-year-old World Cup winner is among several midfielders being monitored, including Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, and Hayden Hackney.
Hackney is strongly expected to play Premier League football next season, with United and Everton closely tracking his development.
However, reports suggest that Mac Allister’s transfer to United is highly unlikely, given his contract at Liverpool until 2028 and the historic rivalry between both clubs, which has prevented direct transfers since 1964.
Liverpool views Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as a near-perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah if the Egyptian star departs.
Bayern Munich is determined to keep Olise, whose contract runs until 2029, and his transfer fee could exceed €100 million.
Olise is reportedly not rushing to return to the Premier League.
Liverpool is also monitoring alternative targets, including Nico Williams, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, and Yan Diomande.
Meanwhile, Liverpool may revive their interest in Anthony Gordon if Salah leaves.
Arsenal has been informed that Nico Williams is considering a summer transfer, with a €100 million release clause.
His preferred destinations reportedly include Barcelona and Arsenal, while other clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and PSG, are also monitoring him.
Arsenal also holds an advantage over Tottenham in the race for Leon Goretzka, while Riccardo Calafiori could leave due to injury concerns.
Juventus is pursuing Bournemouth Defender Marcos Senesi, hoping to sign him as a free agent this summer. However, competition includes:
• Borussia Dortmund
• Barcelona
• Atletico Madrid
• Manchester United
• Brighton & Crystal Palace
Other major developments include:
• Chelsea Striker Nicolas Jackson expected to return from Bayern Munich loan
• Manchester City planning to loan goalkeeper James Trafford
• Premier League and Saudi clubs monitoring Hakan Calhanoglu’s future
• Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado attracting Premier League interest
Despite rumors, experts believe a direct transfer between Liverpool and Manchester United is extremely unlikely due to the historic rivalry, Mac Allister’s long-term contract until 2028, and his high transfer valuation.
The Argentine midfielder remains a key player in Liverpool’s long-term plans, making any move to Old Trafford improbable.
