Shocking Groceries: Mum’s 'Diabetes Inducing' Haul of 32 Pizzas & 14 Cheese Blocks Goes Viral

A mother-of-three, known on TikTok as @boymomx3_b, faced significant backlash after sharing a video of her massive grocery haul, which included an overwhelming quantity of processed foods and very little fresh produce. The 37-year-old, who works full-time and lives in North Carolina with her three sons and parents, detailed her shopping trip across four different stores, revealing a grand total of $476.68 spent.
The extensive haul featured an astonishing 32 frozen pizzas, over a dozen blocks of cheese (14, to be exact), nine large bottles of sugary fizzy drinks, and a substantial amount of other convenience items. These included two large boxes of mini brownies, a huge pack of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, a big box of Oatmeal Cream Pies, several cereal bars, five large bags of frozen fries, two big jars of mayonnaise, and multiple packs of Oreos.
In stark contrast to the abundance of processed goods, her fresh produce section was notably sparse, comprising only two cucumbers, one head of lettuce, a bag of grapes, a bunch of bananas, and one large watermelon. The mother even stated, concerning the pizzas, "We took all they had," indicating she had cleared the frozen aisle of the popular dish.
The video, which quickly went viral and amassed over 5 million views, sparked outrage among TikTok users. Viewers were not only shocked by the high cost of the groceries but primarily by the perceived unhealthy nature of the diet being provided to her family. Comments flooded in, criticizing the "diabetes-inducing" selection and highlighting the disproportionate amount of sugary items compared to fresh vegetables. One user remarked, "NINEEEE bottles of soda THIRTY TWOO pizzas and like two cucumbers is wild," while another pointed out, "You bought more bottles of dr pepper than you did vegetables."
Despite the widespread criticism, the mother offered a concise rebuttal to her detractors, simply stating, "Don’t watch then."
