Scandal Rocks Nigerian Music: Naira Marley Under Fire as New Evidence Emerges in Mohbad Case
Musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has finally presented his version of events concerning the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad. Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. Naira Marley, who rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene in 2018 and signed Mohbad and Zinoleesky to Marlian Music in 2019, used his documentary to offer behind-the-scenes insights. He alleged that on June 7, 2020, he learned Mohbad was using an illegal substance called 'Ice', which he later understood to be crack. Marley stated he advised Mohbad against its use, who attributed it to stress, and claimed he did not force Mohbad into anything. He further alleged that Mohbad's introduction to hard drugs was facilitated by an unnamed
