Ruto's Grand Vision: Kenya & Uganda Unite for Mega Infrastructure Push

Presidents William Ruto of Kenya and Yoweri Museveni of Uganda recently presided over a pivotal event marking the groundbreaking ceremony for the Devki Tororo Steel project in Tororo, Uganda. This substantial industrial initiative is valued at approximately Sh64.6 billion, equivalent to $500 million, signifying a major investment in the region's manufacturing capabilities and economic growth.
During the ceremony, President William Ruto delivered a resounding affirmation of the strong bilateral relations that exist between Kenya and Uganda. He unequivocally underscored Kenya’s readiness to engage and collaborate with all partner countries across East Africa, with a clear focus on driving comprehensive regional transformation. President Ruto's address provided assurances that Kenya is committed to working closely with Uganda and other regional partners to foster shared prosperity and establish a more competitive East African economic landscape. This collaborative vision aims to strengthen economic ties and advance collective development goals throughout the region.
