RedMagic 10 Series Unveiled: ZTE's Gaming Phone Powerhouses Deliver Jaw-Dropping Specs!
The RedMagic 10 series from ZTE Nubia represents the pinnacle of mobile gaming technology, offering a range of devices tailored for performance enthusiasts. This lineup, including the RedMagic 10 Pro Plus, 10 Air, 10S Pro, and 10S Pro Plus, focuses on delivering an unparalleled gaming experience through powerful chipsets, advanced cooling systems, and immersive displays.
The RedMagic 10 series largely adheres to a bold, gamer-centric design, though with variations. The RedMagic 10 Pro Plus and 10S Pro Plus showcase a striking aesthetic with fully transparent Gorilla Glass 5 back panels, offering a glimpse into their internal hardware. Both models feature an aluminum frame and are characterized by customizable RGB lighting accents around the internal fan, along geometric lines, and on the RedMagic logo, enhancing their gaming appeal. These devices maintain a solid yet manageable feel, measuring 163.4 x 76.1 x 8.9 mm and weighing 229g. The RedMagic 10S Pro shares a similar robust build, with a flat glass back and integrated RGB lighting.
In contrast, the RedMagic 10 Air distinguishes itself as the thinnest and lightest, at 164.3 x 76.7 x 7.85mm and 205g, featuring an elegant frosted back for a more understated look. All models boast an uninterrupted full-screen experience thanks to under-display 16MP front cameras, eliminating notches or punch-holes. Gaming-specific physical controls are a hallmark across the series, including capacitive shoulder triggers on the right side and a dedicated Game Space switch for quick mode changes. Connectivity is comprehensive, with USB-C ports, dual SIM trays, and stereo loudspeakers. The 10 Pro Plus, 10S Pro, and 10S Pro Plus retain a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster, while the 10 Air uses an amplified earpiece for its secondary stereo channel and also includes an IR blaster, but lacks the 3.5mm jack. The 10 Air, 10S Pro, and 10S Pro Plus also come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, adding a layer of durability.
All RedMagic 10 series phones prioritize immersive visuals with high-quality AMOLED or OLED displays. The RedMagic 10 Pro Plus, 10S Pro, and 10S Pro Plus feature a 6.85-inch AMOLED/OLED (BOE Q9+ for S Pro/S Pro Plus) panel with a sharp 1.5K resolution (1216 x 2688 pixels, ~431 ppi density). These displays boast an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid scrolling and highly responsive gaming. Peak brightness reaches an impressive 2,000 nits, guaranteeing excellent visibility even in bright outdoor conditions. They support 10-bit color depth for over a billion vibrant colors and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, delivering cinema-grade accuracy. Touch responsiveness is top-tier, with up to a 960Hz touch sampling rate, and the 10S Pro even offers a 2,500Hz one-finger sampling rate for competitive gaming. Advanced eye-care features like DC dimming and high 2,592Hz PWM dimming are included to reduce eye strain.
The RedMagic 10 Air sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1116 x 2480 pixels (~400 ppi). It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a 960Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. This model also supports 10-bit color for rich visuals.
While gaming is the core focus, the RedMagic 10 series offers capable camera systems. The RedMagic 10 Pro Plus, 10S Pro, and 10S Pro Plus are equipped with a versatile triple rear camera setup: a 50MP wide primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture (f/1.88 for 10S Pro), PDAF, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2 for 10 Pro Plus, f/2.0 for 10S Pro/Plus), and a 2MP macro or depth sensor. The main cameras deliver detailed and vibrant images, though the 10 Pro Plus may show oversaturation, while the 10S Pro/Plus aim for punchy yet accurate colors. The ultrawide lenses are effective for expansive shots but may exhibit some edge softness and muted colors compared to the main sensor. All three models feature a 16MP under-display front camera, which, while preserving the full-screen aesthetic, may offer slightly less sharpness in low light compared to traditional punch-hole cameras, though AI enhancements improve clarity on the 'S' models.
The RedMagic 10 Air features a dual rear camera system, comprising a 50MP wide sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens that also functions as a macro camera with autofocus. This configuration provides solid image quality in good lighting, with the main sensor capturing vibrant and well-balanced photos. Video capabilities across the series are impressive, with all models supporting up to 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K at 30/60fps, alongside various 1080p frame rates, including slow-motion options. OIS on the main sensor ensures stable and smooth footage.
The RedMagic 10 series is engineered for top-tier performance. The RedMagic 10 Pro Plus features the Qualcomm SM8750-AB Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) octa-core processor, with its Prime core reaching 4.32 GHz, paired with the Adreno 830 GPU and a dedicated Redcore R3 chip for gaming enhancements. It offers 16GB or 24GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The RedMagic 10S Pro and 10S Pro Plus elevate this further with the overclocked Qualcomm SM8750-AC Snapdragon 8 Elite
