Red Devils Triumph: Man United Dominates Brighton in Thrilling Match!

Manchester United secured a significant 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday evening, marking their third consecutive win following successes against Liverpool and Sunderland. This triumph saw manager Ruben Amorim celebrate with a pirouette and fist-pump, highlighting the precious nature of the result.
United began the match strongly, taking a two-goal lead. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring with a superb curling finish, his first goal since his summer signing from Wolves. This was quickly followed by Casemiro's deflected effort from 25 yards, which left Brighton's goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen stranded, putting United 2-0 up. Earlier in the half, United had two penalty shouts turned down by referee Anthony Taylor, involving Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo.
Despite cruising at times, United missed opportunities, with Benjamin Sesko slicing wide and Carlos Baleba ballooning an effort over the bar. However, Bryan Mbeumo extended United's lead to 3-0 in the 61st minute. He latched onto a precise pass from Benjamin Sesko, who registered his first assist for United, and fired home a 20-yard shot that went through Lewis Dunk's legs and past Verbruggen.
Brighton, however, were not ready to concede. After Patrick Dorgu committed a foul, Danny Welbeck scored from the resulting free-kick, beating Senne Lammens at his near post, bringing the score to 3-1. The tension mounted further in added time when Charalampos Kostoulas headed in from a James Milner corner, making it 3-2 and putting United under pressure.
But Ayden Heaven, who came on as a substitute, delivered a crucial through ball to Mbeumo, who sealed the victory by firing home his second goal in front of the Stretford End, making the final score 4-2. Post-match, Sesko focused on the team's spirit, stating on Instagram, "Great team win, great mentality! Happy for my first assist in Red! We keep going!"
Ruben Amorim lauded the victory as "really important" and praised his players for a "complete performance." He noted, "We had to play different games in different moments of the game. And I think the players understood really well what to do in every moment." While acknowledging some late suffering, a characteristic he joked was typical of Manchester United, Amorim felt they deserved the win against a formidable opponent. He also expressed that this win felt more complete than the previous victory against Liverpool, citing United's ability to control the ball, create chances, and defend effectively both high and deep.
Individual performances were key to United's success. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were standout players, both scoring excellent goals and earning high ratings. Casemiro also performed well, scoring and making important interceptions. Bruno Fernandes, in his 300th appearance, set the tone from midfield. Senne Lammens made crucial saves despite conceding Welbeck's free-kick, and defenders like Matthijs de Ligt had solid outings. Luke Shaw, who was substituted due to a knock, also contributed positively to the build-up of Casemiro's goal.
This victory provided significant momentum for Manchester United, propelling them to fourth place overnight in the Premier League. The team will look to build on this performance as they enter a period with no home fixtures at Old Trafford until November 24.
