Disappointment as Nadco Report Sidesteps Key Raila Odinga Demands
The recent National Dialogue Committee (Nadco) report has disappointed many Kenyans by failing to address key issues, including the two-thirds gender rule, as demanded by former ODM leader Raila Odinga. This outcome raises concerns about the government's commitment to its stated reform agenda and the expectations set during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
The report from the Committee on the Implementation of the ten-point agenda and the National Dialogue Committee (Nadco), released yesterday, has elicited significant disappointment among many Kenyans.
This report, spearheaded by the Agnes Zani-led team, was widely anticipated to reflect the government’s unwavering commitment to implementing a crucial reform agenda.
However, it notably failed to address several key issues that former ODM leader Raila Odinga had specifically demanded when signing the Memorandum of Understanding on March 7, 2025.
Among the burning issues conspicuously ignored in the report was the critical actualisation of the two-thirds gender rule.
