Prime Video's Sci-Fi Sensation Dominates Globally!

The year 2026 has been a big year for Prime Video already, and not just thanks to the return of its critically acclaimed animated superhero series, Invincible.

The show may be off the air for now, but Prime Video has confirmed that it will be back before the close of 2027, setting up yet another respectable gap between seasons.

Prime Video is also still enjoying the success from its big-budget spy series, Citadel, which finally returned last week following a three-year hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2.

The series stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas opposite Stanley Tucci, and while episodes of Season 1 were released weekly, all episodes of Season 2 were dropped at once as a binge.

The streaming service also aired its latest original action movie hit of the year with Balls Up, which features Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser in leading roles.

However, the biggest project of the year for Prime Video so far has been The Boys, which is winding down its fifth and final season after premiering its first two episodes more than a month ago.

The response to The BoysSeason 5 has been quite divisive so far, but the show still has two episodes remaining to finish telling the story of Homelander (played by Antony Starr) and Billy Butcher (played by Karl Urban).

Since coming on the air a few weeks ago, The Boys has surged into the #1 streaming spot in the world on Prime Video, and despite the divisive reception, it’s clear that the show’s final season is must-watch TV.

It’s only poised to continue climbing the streaming rankings in the coming weeks as the final two episodes are unleashed.

The Boys fans are on edge following the ending of Season 5, Episode 6, which saw Homelander finally inject V1 into his veins.

He is seemingly now immortal, and the only way for him to be killed is for Soldier Boy (played by Jensen Ackles) to nuke the V1 out of his blood, which would also rob him of his powers forever.

Some fans have begun to speculate that Homelander could be the one to come out on top in The Boys Season 5, which would certainly prove to be a more divisive ending than either Game of Thrones or Stranger Things.
