Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has announced a major shake-up within the county administration, dismissing all members of the County Executive Committee (CECs), the County Attorney, and the County Secretary.

This significant decision, detailed in a press statement issued on April 9, 2026, comes shortly after a Member of the County Assembly tabled an impeachment motion against the county attorney.

Governor Lusaka stated that the reorganisation was undertaken in the exercise of his constitutional mandate, specifically citing Section 40(1)(a) of the County Government Act.

He emphasized that the move was made in good faith and in the broader public interest, aiming to enhance effective governance, improve service delivery, and restore efficiency within the county administration while safeguarding the integrity of public institutions.
