Political Tensions Mount: Tinubu's Secretariat Vandalized in Oyo
The secretariat of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu – Kehinde Olaosebikan Grassroots Movement in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been vandalised by suspected hoodlums, resulting in shattered windows and destroyed campaign materials. Despite the attack, the movement's Publicity Secretary, Comrade Femi Omolola, affirmed their unwavering commitment to President Tinubu's second term and their goal to significantly increase his electoral votes. The organisation remains resolute in its grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the January 2027 election.
The secretariat of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu – Kehinde Olaosebikan Grassroots Movement (PBAT-KO Movement) in Ibadan, Oyo State, has been subjected to a significant act of vandalism by suspected hoodlums. Located at the CICU Building on Olomi-Olojuoro Road, Oluyole Local Government Area, the office suffered extensive damage, including shattered windows and the destruction of various campaign materials such as banners and boards. The incident came to light when members of the movement visited the office following the attack.
Established late last year by Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government and Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for the Tinubu/Shettima APC Presidential Campaign Council in Oyo State during 2023, the PBAT-KO Movement serves as a vital hub for grassroots mobilisation. Its primary objective is to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's anticipated second term, with a particular focus on improving upon the votes garnered by President Tinubu in 2023. Since its inception, the movement has been actively engaged in mobilisation efforts across Oluyole Local Government and surrounding areas.
In response to the attack, Comrade Femi Omolola, the Publicity Secretary of the movement, addressed journalists, reiterating the organisation's unwavering resolve. Omolola stated, “We are undaunted. We are totally committed. Nothing can stop us in our stanch decision to give our very best in support of the President.” He further emphasised the commitment of Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, the convener, and all his followers to significantly increase President Tinubu's votes in the upcoming election, specifically aiming to triple them.
Omolola underscored the movement's belief in President Tinubu’s leadership qualities, asserting that he is not only the best among candidates but also the most suitable leader for Nigeria. He highlighted that President Tinubu has, in the last three years, laid a very solid foundation for a prosperous and great Nigeria. The movement expresses confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver the Nigeria of their dreams. Additionally, they believe that President Tinubu’s unmatched sterling qualities are complemented by his affiliation with the most formidable and best-organised party in Africa, the APC. The PBAT-KO Movement is certain that President Tinubu would decisively defeat all his opponents in the election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
