Pearl Jam Roars Back: First Gig Revealed After Drummer's Exit, Headlining Ohana Festival

Pearl Jam is scheduled to perform their first concert since the departure of longtime drummer Matt Cameron, who left the band last summer after 27 years. The iconic rock group will take the stage with an as-yet-unannounced time keeper at the upcoming Ohana Festival, set to take place from September 25-27 in Dana Point, California.
This year's festival marks its 10th anniversary and was founded by Pearl Jam's own frontman, Eddie Vedder. The event promises a diverse lineup, featuring performances by Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder and Friends, alongside Mexican rock legends Maná, Tyler Childers, Alabama Shakes, Fontaines D.C., Billy Idol, Pixies, Rilo Kiley, Jon Batiste, Bad Religion, Courtney Barnett, and the reunited Sugar. Over 30 bands are slated to perform across three stages on Doheny State Beach, including Midnight Generation, Otoboke Beaver, Men I Trust, Stephen Wilson Jr., The Front Bottoms, Alice Pheobe Lou, Marlon Funaki, Ellery Harper, The Format, Tom Odell, Ecca Vandal, Horsegirl, and Villanelle.
For fans eager to attend, Ten Club ticket pre-sales are currently open. A general presale is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 14, at 12 p.m. PT, with a public on-sale to follow at the same time if any tickets remain. Attendees are encouraged to sign up for a presale code to secure their spots.
Matt Cameron's departure was officially announced last July. In a heartfelt statement, the former Soundgarden drummer expressed his gratitude: “After 27 fantastic years, I have taken my final steps down the drum riser for the mighty Pearl Jam. Much love and respect to Jeff [Ament], Ed [Vedder], Mike [McCready] and Stone [Gossard] for inviting me into the band in 1998 and for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, filled with friendships, artistry, challenges and laughter. I am forever grateful to the crew, staff and fans the world over. It’s been an incredible journey. More to follow. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.” Cameron had been a vital part of Pearl Jam since joining in 1998.
