Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath Unleash Final Concert Film in 2026

A highly anticipated concert film, titled “Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow,” is set to make its theatrical debut in early 2026. This 100-minute film documents the historic final concert of legendary rock band Black Sabbath, featuring Ozzy Osbourne, held at a sold-out stadium in Birmingham. Produced by Mercury Studios, the project is described as a “love letter to Ozzy and the pioneering sound of Black Sabbath,” offering a distilled version of the epic all-day event that took place at Villa Park.

The film promises an electrifying farewell from the “godfather of heavy metal,” featuring thunderous performances of iconic Black Sabbath songs such as ‘War Pigs,’ ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Children of the Grave,’ and a show-stopping ‘Paranoid.’ Beyond the live performances, the film will also provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access and intimate interviews from this monumental event, offering fans a deeply personal look at the concert.
The star-studded event, hosted by Jason Momoa, featured an impressive lineup of guest performers. These included heavy metal giants Metallica, rock legends Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, Papa V/Ghost, and a memorable drum-off between Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.
The “Back to the Beginning” concert holds significant historical weight, as it marked the first time the original lineup of Black Sabbath had performed together in two decades. The show drew an audience of 4200 attendees at Birmingham’s Villa Park, with an additional 3 million people worldwide paying to watch a livestream of the event. Ozzy Osbourne, aged 76 at the time of the performance, was seated for the concert due to his ongoing recovery from several spinal surgeries and his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Following its theatrical release in early 2026, a physical product of “Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow” will also be available later the same year. Further details regarding the film’s full rollout are expected to be announced in the coming months. Additionally, a separate documentary titled “No Escape From Now,” produced by Paramount+, will premiere later this year, delving into Osbourne’s personal health challenges and the emotional aspects of his final concert.
