Ondo's 2027 Play: Aiyedatiwa Locks In Support For Tinubu

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has publicly declared the state's full support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking at a formal investiture ceremony in Akure, where he was inaugurated as the Grand Patron of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) Ondo State Chapter, Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded the group's members as the “movers and shakers” of the state’s political landscape, emphasizing their crucial role in his administration's governance.
Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted that the distinguished composition of the TSG in Ondo State significantly simplifies the task of promoting the accomplishments of the Tinubu administration and preparing for his future re-election campaign. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to the objectives of the TSG, which are fundamentally aligned with ensuring the continuity and success of the Tinubu presidency. "With the calibre of people in this group, the job of projecting the achievements of the Tinubu government and campaigning for his re-election when the time comes has become easier. I stand firmly with the goals of the TSG, which align with ensuring the continuity of the Tinubu administration," the governor stated.
Prince Ademola Adegoroye, the Director General of the TSG Ondo State Chapter and a former Federal Minister of State for Transportation, delivered opening remarks, urging all residents and groups within the state to collectively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government. Adegoroye underscored that the state has received unprecedented benefits from the projects initiated by the Tinubu-led government in just over two years of its tenure. He explained that the event aimed to "domesticate a national effort that led to the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president of the republic over two years ago."
Adegoroye further elaborated on the TSG's mission, stating that the "movement is taking off to work assiduously towards positively profiling the President, our party the APC and our achievements at all levels and to testify that our president is eminently qualified to be reelected massively for a deserved second term." He also acknowledged that the TSG in Ondo State has been operating under the leadership and support of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, particularly in the preparatory events leading to the official presentation of the TSG as a platform to foster unity, cohesion, and the noble ideals of their party and government under President Tinubu's leadership.
