President Tinubu was in France for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe, having arrived in Paris on Monday after spending the first part of his leave in London. This personal trip also served as an opportunity for strategic diplomatic discussions.

In a separate post following the meeting, President Tinubu reiterated the positive nature of the interaction, emphasizing that his conversation with Mr. Macron reaffirmed the "strong friendship between Nigeria and France, as well as our shared commitment to deepening cooperation and building a mutually beneficial partnership between our two nations." He also conveyed his thanks to President Macron for his hospitality and friendship.
