Flight tracking data reveals that the government-owned aircraft, registered as 5X-UGF and identified as a Gulfstream G550, departed Uganda and made a transit stop in Cape Verde before eventually landing in Savannah, Georgia. Publicly accessible records indicate that the aircraft has remained on the ground in Savannah since its arrival on Saturday, further fueling speculation due to the lack of an official statement from Kampala.

Savannah, Georgia, is notably home to Gulfstream Aerospace, the manufacturer of the G550 aircraft. The company's main headquarters and a significant operations hub are located near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, encompassing facilities for aircraft manufacturing, research and development, and one of the world's largest business aviation service centers. These centers are typically utilized for essential maintenance, inspections, and upgrades of Gulfstream aircraft.
