Mariachi Mayhem: Druski's Grand Serenade to Cardi B for 2026 BET Awards Invite!

Comedian Druski, set to host the 2026 BET Awards, has taken a uniquely extravagant approach to personally ensuring some of culture's biggest stars receive their invitations. In a new promotional sketch for the awards ceremony, Druski made house calls to various celebrities, each visit marked by his signature comedic and over-the-top style.
His first stop was at the home of 13-time Grammy winner John Legend. Druski arrived with a full gospel choir, creating a grand spectacle outside Legend's front door. A surprised Legend inquired about the commotion, to which Druski, accompanied by the choir, proudly announced his role as host of "the culture's biggest night." After being informed of the June 28th awards date, Legend, impressed by the choir's singing, danced back into his home.
Next, Druski made a memorable entrance at actor and musician Jamie Foxx's residence. Referencing Foxx's Oscar-winning role in *Django Unchained*, Druski arrived dramatically on horseback. He reiterated his hosting duties for "the culture's biggest night" and informed Foxx that the dress code was black suit and tie. Foxx, in turn, delivered a witty retort, telling Druski to "get your black a— off my street" and playfully declined an offer to ride to the awards on the horse.
For his third invite, Druski pulled up to Cardi B's home with a mariachi band. A brief cultural mix-up occurred when Druski learned Cardi B is Dominican, not Mexican, but he quickly moved past it to deliver her personal invitation. He encouraged her to "bring the girls out," to which Cardi B enthusiastically replied, "You know I’ll bring the girls," before thanking Druski and the band with "Thank you, papacitos!"
Finally, Druski visited fellow comedian Martin Lawrence, ditching the musical accompaniment and horse for a huge BET Awards sign and pyrotechnics. As Lawrence began to ask about the dress code, Druski dramatically cut him off by reigniting his sparklers. The two comedians then engaged in a humorous shouting match, repeating "June 28th" back and forth, before Lawrence retreated into his house, closing the door on the fiery display.
The 2026 BET Awards, hosted by Druski, are scheduled to take place live on June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, an event Druski certainly made sure no one would forget.
