Legendary Isley Brothers to Receive Coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Legendary music group The Isley Brothers are set to receive a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking a significant milestone 67 years after their initial appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 with their classic track, “Shout – Part 1.” This honor celebrates their enduring impact on the music industry and their extensive career spanning decades.
The star ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, at 11:30 a.m. PT, and will take place at 7051 Hollywood Blvd. The event will feature notable speakers, including Jon Platt, chairman and CEO of Sony Music Publishing, and Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Terry Lewis. Melvin Robert, an entertainment anchor from L.A. station KTLA, will serve as the emcee for the ceremony. For fans unable to attend in person, the event will be exclusively streamed live on WalkOfFame.com.
The Isley Brothers have accumulated an impressive catalog of hits throughout their career, with several songs reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. These include iconic tracks such as “It’s Your Thing,” “That Lady (Part 1),” and “Fight the Power Part 1.” Beyond singles, the group has also achieved two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200: “The Heat Is On” in 1975 and “Body Kiss” in 2003, with the latter credited to The Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley.
Their profound influence has been widely recognized through numerous accolades. The Isley Brothers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2014, and were welcomed into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022. They are also celebrated as arguably the most sampled group of all time, with their music being featured by a diverse range of contemporary artists including Drake, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and Megan Thee Stallion.
Despite their long history, members Ronald Isley, aged 84, and Ernie Isley, aged 73, continue to tour, forging connections with new generations of fans. The Hollywood Walk of Fame itself is a renowned cultural landmark, administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for the City of Los Angeles, and has attracted millions of visitors since its inception in 1960.
