Intocable Unveils Powerful Unity Message in 'Estamos Todos' Short Film

Billboard editors are consistently highlighting uplifting moments within the vibrant Latin music scene, spanning from significant career milestones to anticipated new music releases and major announcements, alongside other important happenings. This week brought forth several notable events that captivated the industry and fans alike.
Norteño music powerhouse Intocable delivered a profound message of unity and resilience through their poignant short film, “Estamos Todos.” This film delves into the complex realities of migration and its profound impact on individuals embarking on such challenging journeys. Directed by Antonio Ramos, “Estamos Todos” starkly opens with scenes depicting immigration raids, reflecting the harsh realities many immigrants face today across the U.S. amid aggressive immigration crackdowns. The film then intricately weaves parallel narratives, illustrating the shared and often difficult experiences of leaving everything behind. Intocable’s frontman, Ricky Muñoz, emphasized the band's intention, stating, “We just wanted to say something honest, something that asked questions. Because while we wait for answers, what we do know is that, as Hispanics, we must be more united than ever — and that is truly the message of this song.” Director Ramos added, “I wanted every image to speak of nostalgia, but also of the strength that unites us beyond borders — and to sow a hope that deserves to be heard.”
In a surprising cross-genre interaction, Moises López of Fuerza Regida connected with global pop superstar Justin Bieber. López surprised Bieber with a custom jersey following a friendly soccer match in Los Angeles. This event took place as part of The League, a weekly indoor soccer and basketball season that hosts private, invite-only games, bringing together various figures from across the entertainment industry. Both López and Bieber shared candid photos and videos from the evening, which also saw the “Daisies” singer joining a Mexican banda and even engaging by playing some of their instruments, showcasing a moment of cultural exchange.
The Latin Recording Academy recently unveiled its initial roster of performers for the highly anticipated 26th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The impressive lineup includes current nominees Pepe Aguilar, Aitana, Ivan Cornejo, DannyLux, Gloria Estefan, Kakalo, Carín León, Liniker, Morat, and Los Tigres del Norte. Additionally, Raphael, who has been honored as the 2025 Person of the Year, is also confirmed to perform. The prestigious Latin Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 13. The three-hour telecast will be produced by TelevisaUnivision and broadcast across TelevisaUnivision’s U.S. platforms, commencing at 8 p.m. ET.
Adding to the week's significant announcements, Kali Uchis and Daddy Yankee were featured on their respective Billboard covers for the special Latin Power Players Issue. In her feature story, the Colombian-American star candidly discussed her decision to prioritize motherhood as a "big priority" while managing her touring schedule. Meanwhile, Daddy Yankee, who concurrently released his new album “Lamento En Baile” on Friday, spoke openly about his conversion to Christianity and outlined his ambitious plans to “revolutionize” pop culture. Both Daddy Yankee and Kali Uchis are slated to speak at the upcoming Billboard Latin Music Week, which will take place from October 20-24 at The Fillmore Miami Beach.
